Cristiano Ronaldo remains in pursuit of a significant trophy with Al Nassr, but his hopes were dashed once again during the Saudi Cup Final against Al Ahli. The match concluded in a 2-2 draw after regulation time, and despite both teams striving for victory, Al Nassr fell short, losing in the penalty shootout.
This defeat marks Ronaldo's third consecutive loss with Al Nassr. Prior to this, he faced setbacks against Al Hilal in the 2024 Saudi Cup Final and in the 2024 Kings Cup. Although he has enjoyed remarkable individual achievements, the star forward has yet to savor a team victory.

Ronaldo's last international trophy was secured in the 2025 Nations League, but at the club level, his most recent major success dates back to 2021 when he played a pivotal role in Juventus' 2-1 victory over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia.
Since joining Al Nassr in 2023 after his second spell at Manchester United, Ronaldo, now 40, continues to defy expectations, showcasing his ability to perform at the highest level. Before this match, he had already netted 99 goals in 111 appearances for Al Nassr, making his 100th goal in Saudi Arabia a significant milestone. Notably, Sporting CP remains the only club where he did not achieve the 100-goal mark.
